What to say about this piece? It knocks me in the gut every time I look at it. It evokes strength and tenderness and tells a truth to me about leadership.  I once had the honour of caring for a lead mare and this painting made me think of her. She was goofy, a free spirit, and in charge and she invited me to follow suit.
